(New York City, New York – January 2, 2015) ………. UtiliSave, LLC – a premier forensic utility bill auditing company headquartered in New York City – has recently obtained a substantial credit for their client, a large hospital in Brooklyn, NY. The service agreement between UtiliSave and the Hospital was established on August 25th, 2014 and on October 28th, 2014 – approximately 2 months later – UtiliSave secured the adjustment which was immediately credited back to the Hospital, amounting to hundreds of thousands of dollars.
The initial concern of a possible bill discrepancy was raised by the client. The utility company addressed the issue with an explanation to support their billing which seemed reasonable to the Hospital who then paid the bill of over $1 million in full.
UtiliSave performed a deep analysis of the Hospital’s utility data along with a series of on-site inspections and came to a different conclusion in regards to the billing. UtiliSave submitted a claim to the utility company on the Hospital’s behalf, providing an alternative, detailed statistical analysis and calculations based on lower usage numbers. The utility company verified UtiliSave’s findings, accepted their calculations and meter reads, and agreed with their arguments. The over-billing was subsequently rectified using lower usage. The initial charges were adjusted – resulting in a large net savings for UtiliSave’s client.
